“tenenen nenen nen… tenenen nenen nen… If somethings strange… in your neighborhood.. who you gonna call?… GHOSTBUSTERS!”…

I guess every kid in my time (who are now semi-adults by the way) recognizes, or even memorizes those lines and every bit of the fantasy-comedy film about 3 (Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis) parapsychologists-turned-ghost exterminators GhostBusters.

And here’s the good news. As unbelievable as it appears, the Ghostbusters movie will be back, and it was confirmed by The Chicago Tribune as they recently caught up with Harold Ramis as he spilled his guts.

“yes, columbia is developing a script for GB3 with my year one writing partners, gene stupnitsky and lee eisenberg. judd apatow is co-producing year one and has made several other films for sony, so of course the studio is hoping to tap into some of the same acting talent. aykroyd, ivan reitman and i are consulting at this point, and according to dan, bill murray is willing to be involved on some level. he did record his dialogue for the new ghostbusters video game, as did danny and i, and ernie hudson. the concept is that the old ghostbusters would appear in the film in some mentor capacity. not much else to say at this point. everyone is confident a decent script can be written and i guess we’ll take it from there.” –

This pretty much says a lot about the upcoming 3rd installment of the Ghostbuster Movies since it’s 1984 release.

So who do you think will be the next GhostBusters? I bet you had this (girl above) in mind.

  1. The Comebacks – I guess the good ol’ movies from our yesteryears are really making it’s way back to us now. And this is definitely one movie that deserves to be back.
  2. The GB Van – just something I missed seeing in action. The GhostBusters Van.
  3. Where’s Slimer??? – remember that annoying green thing that looks like the ugliest ghost around? I guess he’ll be back too. He should be.
